Sinospect supplies diesel engine power packs — engine, cooling group and complete governing, without the alternator — to genset assemblers and integrators. Batches are sourced through qualified Cummins-licensed and equivalent OEM channels in China, witnessed on the load stand before dispatch, and documented for the line they feed.

A genset assembler lives and dies by its engine supply. The ratings are standard; the risk is everything around them — a reference model quietly superseded, a licensed line and a lookalike quoted as if they were the same thing, a flywheel housing that does not match the alternators already on the shelf, or a batch that ships with no independent test between the factory and the container.
Sinospect controls that work from inside China: the buying basis fixed per line, licensed and OEM channels compared in writing, every engine witnessed on the load stand before dispatch, and the document pack assembled against the order. The alternator, controller and canopy stay your scope — the engine arrives ready to couple, with its records.

Power classes
From 50 kVA nodes to large prime power
Ratings quoted at the declared duty basis, 1500 rpm / 50 Hz or 1800 rpm / 60 Hz, with the exact engine model and factory configuration stated per line in the offer.
50–100 kVA prime class
Four-cylinder families in the 3.9 and 4.5 litre classes, for compact single- and three-phase sets — the volume end of an assembly line.

150–250 kVA prime class

250–400 kVA prime class

Two configurations per rating
Your reference class, and the model sized to the rating
Engine families outlive their catalogues. A line built around a reference class should not discover at order time that the class has moved on — and a buyer holding an old reference should not overpay for nostalgia. Every rating is therefore quoted twice.
Configuration A — your reference class
Priced on the engine class your line is built around, so existing tooling, wiring looms and canopy designs carry over without rework.
Configuration B — sized to the rating
Priced on the factory-recommended current model for the same prime output, which is often the younger platform at a better price band.
Mixable line by line
The two configurations are quoted side by side for every rating and can be mixed across the batch, so reserve margin is decided against real numbers.
Source channel, named on every line
Each quoted line carries one controlled label — DCEC (Cummins joint-venture licensed production), CCEC (Cummins joint-venture production), or Chinese OEM equivalent— together with the warranty route that goes with that channel. Never an undefined “genuine Cummins China”.
Witnessed testing
No engine ships on a factory's word alone
Every engine in a batch runs a witnessed load test at the works before dispatch. The test basis is agreed in the order; instruments carry current calibration evidence; each recorded value is photographed as it is taken; and the serial number goes on the signed record. Deviations are corrected or carried as explicit release conditions — never discovered at incoming inspection on your side.
This is the same acceptance discipline Sinospect applies across witnessed factory acceptance testing — record sheets with no blank boxes, calibrated instruments, and a file the owner can examine years later.

The six questions engine buyers actually ask
Duty basis, channel, interfaces, governing, testing and documents. Each needs a written answer before the deposit rather than after the container opens.
Prime or standby — on what basis are the ratings quoted?
Ratings are fixed in writing before quotation: kVA at the stated power factor, prime or standby duty, speed and frequency. Every line of the offer carries the same declared basis, so comparisons across suppliers and configurations stay honest.
Licensed production or OEM-equivalent — what is the difference?
Both channels are quoted where available, with the build source and warranty route stated per line and a meaningfully different price band between them. The choice is yours per rating; the offer keeps the two clearly separated rather than blending them.
Will the engines match my alternators?
SAE housing and flywheel options are listed per model in the offer. Your alternator interface dimensions are confirmed against the chosen configuration before production release, so the coupling question is closed on paper before it can become a workshop discovery.
Mechanical or electronic governing?
Governing is specified per line. Where electronic governing is required, the package is itemised — actuator, magnetic speed pickup, controller, wiring harness — and confirmed as approved for the offered configuration rather than assumed.
How is testing actually done?

By order or destination market: origin and export documents · conformity evidence · channel and warranty documents. Which items apply is stated in the offer, not discovered at dispatch.
Warranty and after-sales responsibilities
Warranty holder, spare-parts route and claim path are settled in writing per batch, because an engine warranty that cannot be executed across a border is a discount, not a warranty.
The mechanics are fixed before dispatch, not negotiated after a failure. Warranty term and coverage are stated per line, with the channel that backs them. A claim runs against the engine's own file — serial number, signed load-test record and nameplate photo identify the unit — with the evidence expected from your side (photographs, hour reading, the part held for inspection) listed in the batch documents. Where Sinospect is the contracting supplier, the claim comes to Sinospect and is pursued with the works; buyer-direct engagements name the works route and contact instead.
